BRUCE DORFMAN

"Bruce Dorfman's career is well established with an exhibition history that covers more than four decades. Dorfman's art has long taken strength from its complexities. Movement and flickering immediacy blend with firmly crafted geometric construction and a carefully calibrated glow that blends with the chance illumination of reflecting variegated metallics. Often structural units will appear to be synthesizing painting, sculpture and discarded materials totally transformed by the sophisticated lushness of his uses of paint. The emphasis is on risk."
-- Phyllis Braff, NYC, 2007
